On the 27th of October 2023, we held the 2nd edition of the barpa.space.rocket event. During this event, we made a difference in the structured networks sector in Portugal! We brought together over 400 people from various parts of the world in an event packed with new features and surprises!

The Revolutionary Solutions: Draco, Hydra, and Sagitta

Introducing the three new solutions we have added to our range and presented on this day:

Draco – Cat.8

Draco is an innovative solution, ideal for those in need of a high-speed network infrastructure.

With speeds of up to 40 Gbps and a frequency of 2000MHz, it ensures ultra-fast data transfers, reduced latency, and robust reliability, meeting the growing demands of modern data centers.

Category 8 is 4 times faster than our well-known Cat.6A.

The Draco Solution includes high-speed copper cables, patch cords, field plugs, and keystones to help you keep your data center at the forefront of innovation.

Hydra – OM5

Hydra is capable of supporting transmission speeds of 400 Gbps, while reducing the number of cables used.

Using SWDM technology, it can support transmissions of various wavelengths on a single fibre!

Ideal for applications requiring high-speed transmissions and large bandwidths, such as in Data Centres or high-speed communication networks.

barpa’s Hydra – OM5 solution includes fibre cables, patch cords, adapters, pigtails, pre-assembled cables, and multifibre solutions, all tailored to support upgrades to your network.

Sagitta – UHD Fiber System

Sagitta is the right choice when it comes to networks that require even more capacity, flexibility, performance, and scalability!

High density is one of the most important trends in the networking market, and Sagitta is our solution for ultra-high-density fibre systems.

With this solution, you can:

• Place up to 144 fibres in 1U
• Place up to 288 fibres in 2U
• Place up to 576 fibres in 4U
